How does the voting process work?

Good question, Jessica. We will narrow down the competition in each category (no less than 10 in each category will be in the voting) then on about November 1, we will open up the voting by our readers to decide in each of the six categories who the winner is. The voting will be open for about 15 days. Let us know if you have further questions.

I'm going on the page for voting but do not see a link to fill out any form to submit a ballot.. any help?

The form is directly under the intro on this page. You have to scroll down to find it. If it does not show up, it's because your browser on your computer is not letting it be seen. If it's an older version of Internet Explorer, for instance, it will not work with our website and show you the forms for some reason.

Please try a different computer or a different browser. I believe that is the only fix. Thank you,

my voting---once a day---is aborted for some reason by the internet

I have received complaints similar to yours for the last few days. One voter and I figured out that although she'd gotten the "abort" message, she'd also received the thank you message that comes up after you vote. I checked the back end and her vote had registered. If you got the thank you message, then I'm sure your vote worked. If you didn't get the thank you message, if you could possibly copy and paste the exact message and all the "code" stuff that might be with the message and email that to me (sarah@metrofamilymagazine.com). My website company has been saying they cannot help without being able to duplicate the problem. I think the message would help.

So sorry for the trouble! It seems to happen only with Internet Explorer.

I am having trouble trying to register to vote. Is there a problem with this site?

The bad news is there is a strange error message showing up after people vote. The good news is, the votes are counting. If you get a thank you message and an error message, it is still registering. My website company cannot duplicate the problem and haven't been able to fix it. I'm thinking it could be because we've had so many votes. I am so sorry but am glad to report that the votes are counting!
