• Library classes and programs
At each of the Metro Library System locations, you may find classes
such as story time for preschool age, Jr. Gardening for ages 10-16,
soap making for adults, and play times for children of all ages. Plus
enjoy concerts, movies and computer help for all ages. For a full

The Pioneer Library System also offers classes such as Baby storytime,
ballroom dancing for teens, make and take art for ages 3-6, photo

Concerts in the Park are held at Yukon’s Chisholm Trail Park
Gazebo every Thursday through August 20 from 7-9pm. The park is located
at 500 W Vandament. yukoncc.com (event calendar).
• Play in the Park Program
Available at participating parks across the Metro and Edmond.
Through August 7, 8am-4pm Monday-Friday. This is a free program by OKC Parks
that offers supervised summertime activities for children age 6 and
older. An adult must accompany children under 6. Sports, crafts,
educational games and performing arts. For a list of parks and

Edmond parks hosts their special program through August 12 on
Wednesdays, 10-11:15am. Each week a different park will be hosting.
Organized games of tag, dodge ball, relay races and obstacle courses.
Children ages 11 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. 359-4630.

• Express Clydesdale Ranch

• State Capital Tours
Tours of the capitol can be self-guided or guided tours (available
Monday-Friday 9am-3pm hourly but closed at noon). Schedule your group

• Edmond Historical Museum

The permanent collection is arranged in chronological order from the
early days when Edmond was a coal and water stop for the Santa Fe
Railroad, through the Run of 1889, the building years in the early
1900's, up through the present. Most important to the kids in your
family is the Children’s Learning Center which provides hands-on
learning fun about Edmond’s history.
