I knew I'd made it as a mom when my son's kindergarten homework assignment was to list 3 of his favorite smells. Henry's favorite smell was hearing and smelling his mom (me) in the kitchen cooking a meal. One of my fondest childhood memories are the smells emanating from my mom cooking in the kitchen so I knew I had accomplished something that was very important! My son's answer to his homework assignment was a wonderful surprise and certainly made me one proud mom!
