According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 4.3 million babies were born in
the United States in 2006. For most new parents, it’s a joyous, albeit
exhausting, new time in their life. For 50-80 percent of the women
giving birth each year, however, they go through a short period of
feeling down or depressed. This condition, according to the National
Institutes of Health (NIH) is referred to as the “baby blues.” While
the usual baby blues tend to last for roughly the first two weeks after
the baby is born, many women go on to experience something that lasts
much longer.

silly.
